Few hours are not enough to explore a charismatic city like Bucharest. So which is the best place to visit in a short time? I asked my friend and she quipped: Old Town.

Located in the centre of Bucharest, Old Town attracts many tourists across the globe. Filled with numerous bars, cafes and restaurants, the old town is quite popular among locals and tourist alike. Locals fondly call the area Centru Vechi (the Old Centre).

It is difficult to say which restaurant is better than the other, but I strongly recommend Hanul lui Manuc. (Hanul lui Manuc – 62-64 Franceza St). The food as well as the ambience here is amazing.

Fortunately, I managed to capture the beauty of Bucharest’s iconic Palace of the Parliament, the second largest administrative building in the world. If you are in the city, you should include this in your itinerary.

Well, my Bucharest story ends here as I did not have much time to explore this city.

Bucharest, I promise, I will be back !

Frankly speaking, I am not a luxurious traveller as it could cost a bomb. However, free trips to luxurious hotels and resorts are more than welcome:) Thanks to Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, I won a travel contest on their Facebook page and won 2N/3D package at Wildflower Hall.

Nestled in the picturesque Shimla-Kufri highway, Wildflower Hall is a kind of place where luxury embraces tranquility. I loved every moment spent there.

What I liked most about this place is their lavish indoor pool and outdoor infinity pool. While one can spend great time at their open-air whirlpool, their indoor pool is also amazing.

The place is surrounded by long and thick trees, well-maintained by their staff.

Guests can rejuvenate their mind and body by indulging in various activities such as nature walks and yoga. Set over 23 acres of protected cedar forest, Wildflower Hall also provides a range of spa therapies (I opted for Oberoi therapy).

Their restaurant has a wide range of menus for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Note: Their staff is very polite and make extra efforts to make you feel at home:)

How to reach there: Take a flight to Chandigarh and then book a cab. It will take approximately four hours to reach the destination. Alternatively, your hotel can book a cab for you. Chandigarh airport is well-connected to major Indian cities.
