Hello Folks !
I wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year 2019.
May you be happy the whole year through.
Keep exploring…..
Kathmandu Valley’s famous Patan durbar square, which was severely damaged by the deadly earthquake in 2015, is a must see place if you are in the city of Lalitpur.
Located at the center of the city, the square is home to a number of beautiful temples and idols that are guaranteed to turn you into cultural lovers.
Some of the important temples are Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple and Vishwanath Temple. Thanks to its stunning architecture, this place is frequented by tourists and locals alike. No wonder, it is one of the UNESCO world Heritage Sites along with two other darbars – Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The whole area is filled with colorful cafes, numerous art galleries and guest houses. I spent few hours there, gazing aimlessly at the abundant beauty of the place.

Like many travelers, I too made a trip to Pangong Tso, one of the most beautiful and enchanting lakes in India. I always wanted to photograph this place after seeing numerous snaps on Internet. After a lot of negotiation with a couple of travel agencies in Leh, I finally found two couples, who agreed to travel with me. We hired a Xylo and luckily we got a good driver. After several hours of journey, we reached our destination. I took a deep breath and started clicking pictures of this breathtaking lake, which is surrounded by barren yet dramatic mountains. I stayed at a small homestay, while my friends preferred tents. The owner of the homestay shared many interesting stories about lake, business, daily life and visitors over a cup of tea. Now I will let you to enjoy the snaps.

With a hot and humid weather, I had no option but to search for a place full of greenery. During my online search, Google suggested me a nearby place called Santichaiprakan Park, which is close to Khao San road.
The park impressed me after an overview and I decided to visit the place.
I approached a tul tuk guy and paid him 40 bhat.
Located on Phra Athit road, Santichaiprakan Park is full of greenery, though not big in terms of area.
One can fully explore the park in just 20 minutes.
The park, situated in the eastern part of Chao Phraya River, offers some scintillating views of the sunset.
And near the vicinity of the park one can find beautiful Phra Sumen Fort, which was constructed during the end of the 18th century to protect the city from foreign invasions.
While returning from this place I stumbled upon a cute coffee shop and had some nice warm coffee.

Art and sea food enticed me to make a short trip to Mumbai. From famous Jehangir Art Gallery to eye-catching yet evoking Sassoon Dock Art Project, I enjoyed them completely.
However, my focus was on the art project. An initiative by the St+Art India, the project brings together more than 40 artists from all over the world including Indians to convert the famous dock into a perfect and colorful art canvas.
The project depicts the daily lives of the Kolis, the Banjaras and the Hindu Marathas through various art installations and exhibitions.
Enjoy the exhibition.
You can read more about the exhibition here.Â
All the images have been captured with the help of a Mi4 mobile.
