Ghungroo – The Sounds of Yore: Delhi’s First Dinner Theatre

Delhi, the capital of India, is a unique city with rich heritage and culture. Also known as the heart of India, it is home to people from all over the country and therefore, the culture of all the states of India can been seen here.

Recently, I got an invitation by Rudra Experiences Pvt Ltd to attend Delhi’s first Dinner Theatre – ‘Ghungroo – The Sounds of Yore’.

The artists, through their dance performances, narrated Delhi’s past glory and took the audience to the bygone days.
Starting from the first documented ruler of Delhi, Prithwi Raj Chauhan, tracing the journey of Bhakti Movement through Sufism, followed by stylised form of Kathak for the Mughal Courts, Tarana, ending in Bollywood, it showcases the history and spirit of Delhi, through dance, all in an hour’s time.

A mesmerizing performance followed by a sumptuous dinner (an authentic Indian barbecue) will make your evening just perfect.

The chefs used traditional recipes, researched over centuries, tested in the Royal Kitchens, slow cooked, delicately spiced, with subtle aromas and served the way it was meant to be: straight from fire.

If you are a first time visitor to Delhi, especially if you are a foreigner, then I recommend you to attend this unique program. I am sure it will be a memorable experience for you.

A Selection Of Germany’s Top Tourist Destinations

Berlin

Everyone wants to see the German capital: Berlin tops the rankings of Tripadviser, the world’s largest portal for travel reviews. And the incredibly multi-faceted 3.4-million city deserves it, too. Great German monuments like the BRANDENBURG Gate and the BERLIN Cathedral, structures like Alexanderplatz and the East Side Gallery, art treasures like the Pergamon Altar, but also the subculture and scene make the city on the Spree worth a visit.

Dresden

It just missed out on a medal, but managed an excellent fourth place behind Munich and Hamburg: Dresden, city on the Elbe, has more to offer than the Church of Our Lady and the Semper Opera House. Although large sections of the city were destroyed in the Second World War, it still showcases Renaissance and Baroque ARCHITECTURE in its historical centre. Some of Germany’s best restaurants and hotels are to be found there.
