The following blog post contains few words, more images.
Not everyday, you get an opportunity to play with rare and endangered turtles. But, I did.
A few days ago, I won a travel competition to visit Chambal River Valley and Kukrail Reserve Forest, sponsored by Turtle Limited, which is engaged in the conservation and protection of Olive Ridely turtles in India for many years. They recently entered into a partnership with Turtle Survival Alliance – an international organization working towards conservation of endangered species of turtles in several countries across the globe.
During this three-day trip, I came to know many things about turtles, tortoise and crocodiles and their conservation. Perhaps, one of my life’s finest moments when I released many baby turtles to Chambal river.
Thank you guys for giving me such a wonderful opportunity.
The life of a turtle is as precious as the life of a human being.
So, take the pledge and save a turtle.
P.S: All the following images are low-resolution and unedited.
On my way to Chambal river.
We are listening carefully to Dr Shailendra Singh’s instructions before releasing turtles.

Your lucky I guess for this opportunity. I don’t know the feeling of letting baby turtles to the sea but seeing experiences of you and others, looks like a great must have experience, its not on my bucket list but would if I get the opportunity check out the experience. Nice. I guess many of these turtles won’t survive in sea, some of them will and you volunteers help out in ensuring these babies go to the sea safely where then destiny will play its role.
