There are too many temples be it ancient or modern in Karnataka. And One is bound to encounter with a temple in every nook and corner of a street in the state. These incredible temples entice me to explore more and more amazing structures in our country.
While driving on the Bellary road on NH – 7, me and my friend were unexpectedly stumbled upon an ancient temple. We had planned to explore Devanahalli Fort but we changed our mind due to hot sunny day. Instead, we visited Sri Venugopala Swamy temple, dedicated to a form of the Hindu God Vishnu.
Located in Devanahalli town, the temple is quite small but its ambiance is serene and vibrant.
The temple, built in the Dravidian style of architecture, is a protected monument under the Karnataka state division of the Archaeological Survey of India.
Apart from Venugopala temple, one can also find a number of other temples in the town. So do not limit yourself to this temple as this town houses a number of outstanding places of worship.
