Once Upon A Time in Brasov

Brasov is cute, compact and colorful. A short getaway to this vibrant Romanian city made one of my life’s best trips. Cobblestone streets, amazing cafes and bars made it a perfect destination. Although I have shared a lot of stories and images of Brasov in the past on my blog, I could not resist myself from posting more images about this amazing city. When I arrived at Henri Coanda International Airport, Bucharest, my friend came straight from Brasov to receive me. And from there I started my Romanian sojourn. Have you been to Romania ? If yes, please do share with me your experience. I would like to listen your stories.

Let’s Welcome Brasov

There is no point of keeping images in the hard-disk. So I have decided to publish more images of my past travels on my blogs.

In the past, I had written couple of articles about Brasov and its food culture.

And this article contains another set of photographs of this cute and vibrant city. I believe these images deserve to be published on my blog. I used my old CANON 450D to capture the beauty of the Romanian city.

Carolinenthor Castle

IMG_9762Planning a trip to Brasov?

If yes, then make sure you do not miss visiting this Carolinenthor Castle, though not quite famous among travelers. Also you would hardly find detailed information about this place.

My friend drove me to this place and I found few other travellers also exploring the castle. There was only one guard who spoke to us in Romanian and my friend happily translated for me. My friend told me that many newly wedding couples visit this place only to get clicked along with the beautiful scenes of the Castle.

And coincidentally I saw one couple posing before their hired photographer happily.
It will take 20-25 minutes to visit the entire castle and to reach there you have to hire a taxi, which is quite cheap in Brasov.

Exploring Romanian Foods

During my short stay in Brasov, I got a chance to explore authentic Romanian cuisine. However, I forgot to click images of some dishes. 🙂

A trip to Romania is incomplete without having a Chorba. I really liked it. You must try it. And one restaurant I will recommend you to visit – Sergiana. (Brasov) I really liked everything about the restaurant – ambiance, food and interior.

Have you ever tried authentic Romanian cuisine ?
