When Your Buddy Turns Model

Undoubtedly, travelling with your close pals can make your trip more memorable and hassle-free. Me and my friend Anjana Singh recently visited Malaysia and covered three cities – Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang. Not much of a planning was done beforehand, and off the eight-day trip, we actually had just six days on our hands as we had some office work to finish.
Nonetheless, the trip turned out to be fantabulous. We indulged in a lot of adventure activities, including Go-Karting, and relished Malayisa’s famous mouthwatering street foods.
I also managed to make some interesting pictures, thanks to the beautiful streets, colorful walls, vibrant backgrounds, the amazing street-arts of Penang and my buddy-cum-model – Anjana.
As I go through some of Anjana’s photos that I made, I feel that she is a natural model. I find her pictures simple, yet very graceful. Tell me, how do you enjoy your trips with your close pals? Do you have some unique memories ? Do share with me. I would love to hear from you.

Kuala Lumpur has a lot to offer when it comes to exploring the city as a tourist.

During my very short trip, I managed to visit several of the popular tourist destinations, thanks to the city’s efficient metro or rapid transit system.

P.S- Besides, metro, I also used popular Grab App to reach some of my destinations without much hassle.

To make your journey simpler and easier you can buy a local simcard and download the app on your phone.

Kuala Lumpur’s Spectacular Thean Hou Temple

Even though I was quite occupied during my two-day trip to Malaysia, I couldn’t resist visiting the beautiful Thean Hou Temple in Kuala Lumpur.

Built between 1981 and 1987, this world famous temple draws hundreds of tourists everyday, thanks to its stunning architecture. It is a six tired temple with four levels and is dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess Mazu. Also known as the Temple of the Goddess of Heaven, it has elements of Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism structures.

The amalgamation of contemporary architectural style and traditional designs made the temple stand out among other temples in Kuala Lumpur.

Outside the temple, one can see statutes of representations of the 12 animals of Chinese astrology. The temple also has a Chinese medicinal herbs garden and a tortoise pond. A popular wedding venue among KL’s Chinese community, the temple attracts worshipers and tourists alike everyday.

How to reach: The temple is just three km away from Bangsar station. Take a LRT to the station and then you can hire a taxi to the temple. I used Grab app and reached this place within 10 minutes.
