Exploring Laos: Authentic Moments Through the Lens

“You can capture the soul of a place only when you step out of your comfort zone.” This is what I always do whenever I am in travel mode. My Laos trip was no different. From monuments to street food stalls, I managed to capture the daily life of this Southeast Asian nation. Most of the images were shot in Vientiane and Luang Prabang. Despite possessing my beloved Canon DSLR, I used my mobile due to the heat and humidity. In my past articles, I have already shared many images of Laos. In this blog post, I have shared numerous photos of beautiful Laos. Do let me know your views.

A Photo Essay On Vientiane

Vientiane, the capital city of Laos, is home to many cute buildings and houses that reflect the influence of French colonial rule on Lao architecture. The French colonial style continues to make a modest impact in most towns and cities, including Vientiane. As a photographer, these houses are quite appealing. On architectural point of view, this place is an amalgamation of East and West. The French influence is still visible in the city’s architecture and bakeries, which keep piles and piles of freshly baked baguettes.
