My Laos sojourn was one of the most exciting experiences I’ve ever had. I was able to explore two cities, Vientiane and Luang Prabang, and get a taste of what life in Laos is like. I was able to take some amazing photographs of the stunning landscapes, and I even had the opportunity to meet some locals and learn more about their culture and traditions. I got to experience the unique sights, sounds, and smells of the country, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity I had to travel there. One of the focal points of the trip was a memorable train journey. – Vientiane- Luang Prabang-Vientiane. Exploring the temples, museums, and natural wonders of Laos was a photography enthusiast’s delight! The climate was too hot and I left my DSLR at the hostels. So I used a basic Motorola phone to capture the beauty of this country and share it with the world. I took so many shots of the captivating architecture, vibrant markets, and stunning landscapes. I even got the chance to take photos of Kuang Si Falls, one of the most famous tourist attractions in Laos. The lush greenery, the towering cascading waterfalls, and the bright blue pools – it was all too beautiful not to capture with my mobile. My photography adventure in Laos was a dream come true. It was a chance to explore the country and make beautiful memories that I can now look back on with nostalgia. I’m so glad I went and I can’t wait to travel to Laos again!
I am sharing a few beautiful images of Salzburg, where I stayed for three nights. Words are not enough to describe this picturesque Austrian city, the birthplace of the world-renowned composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The weather was just perfect for photography. Fantastic architecture, lovely cafes, and exquisite bars make this city a wonderful tourist attraction. There are many popular spots that I could not visit due to lack of time. However, I got to spend some quality time in Mirabell Palace, Hohensalzburg Fortress, and Hellbrunn Palace, which I will cover in my next blog posts. I am sure you will fall in love with this place.
Reminiscing my earlier travel to Kyrgyzstan, where I spent only four days due to my hectic schedule. Notwithstanding, I managed to click hundreds of images, be it Issyk-Kul lake or capital Bishkek. Quite a cheap destination to explore. Russian is widely spoken. So it is better to learn few basic Russian words before travelling to this Central Asian country. Try to give at least 10 days to this beautiful country.
I hope you enjoyed the first part of Penang. Now comes to the second part. This set of images of George Town is bound to fuel your wanderlust. Probably vibrant street art was one of the key reasons why I paid a trip to the Malaysian state . With the help of a map I explored most of the famous graffiti/murals of George Town without much problem. Although I had to skip some street art due to lack of time. Every 20 minutes, I used to take a small beer break due to hot and humid weather. It was a short and sweet trip to Penang. I just wish I could have stayed a little longer there.
A trip to Langkawi is incomplete without a visit to hugely popular Dataran Lang (also known as Eagle Square), a man-made structure.
Situated at the southeast corner of Pulau Langkawi, the 12 meter-tall statue is bound to take your breath away. The massive eagle sculpture greets everyone who comes to Kuah by ferry. The eagle is the emblem of Langkawi Island. Try to visit the place in the morning or evening as the afternoon sun could make you feel highly uncomfortable. As I was staying in a remote place of Langkawai, I hired a taxi to reach the place.
Like many travelers, I too made a trip to Pangong Tso, one of the most beautiful and enchanting lakes in India. I always wanted to photograph this place after seeing numerous snaps on Internet. After a lot of negotiation with a couple of travel agencies in Leh, I finally found two couples, who agreed to travel with me. We hired a Xylo and luckily we got a good driver. After several hours of journey, we reached our destination. I took a deep breath and started clicking pictures of this breathtaking lake, which is surrounded by barren yet dramatic mountains. I stayed at a small homestay, while my friends preferred tents. The owner of the homestay shared many interesting stories about lake, business, daily life and visitors over a cup of tea. Now I will let you to enjoy the snaps.
